About Lafiya Grazing Reserve

Lafiya Grazing Reserve features 400 acres where we are demonstrating rotational grazing, and 1600 acres farther up the river. Lafiya means peace in the Hausa language. Peace Village is here, with Good Shepherd Nursery and Primary School, and Butterfield Memorial Clinic. This is a beautiful, lush area on a river. The villages up and down river all wanted their children to attend school, so we built a HUGE boat (Big Blue) as a school bus!
